May 2nd-3rd, May Day picnic in Strzelce Krajeńskie
The main part of the May Picnic was the Polish-German Marine Song Festival during which the 14th Edition of the Children’s Marin Song Festival took place. A group of 10 representatives took part, including a music band called Four Feel Fine. The project was implemented by SOK (The Strzelce Krajeńskie Culture Center) and was co-financed from the means of Pro Europa Viadrina Euroregion.
On the invitation of the Mayor of Strzelce Krajeńskie, Mr. Mateusz Feder, a group of representatives of our twin town of Angermünde, Germany, paid a visit to our town.
It was the first meeting of both town’s authorities after the autumn local government elections in Poland. Apart from the authorities, the German group of six representatives included senior residents and entrepreneurs.
The will for continuation of the twin town co-operation was declared and its direction, especially in the new fields such as infrastructure development, economy and economic promotion. This years’ meetings and visits were arranged, some of which to be implemented from the means granted by the EU. Our guests accompanied by the authorities of Strzelce paid a visit to ae Group Polska factory.
May 20th-22nd, School Exchange- PSP Strzelce Krajeńskie (a primary school) and its counterparts in Angermünde. The youngsters from Publiczna Szkołą Podstawowa in Strzelce Krajeńskie have been organizing international school exchange with Gustav Bruhn Schule in Angermünde since 2009.
During this year's meeting, students (16 people from each side) took part in the outdoor game, designed to show the most interesting parts and buildings of our city and learned about prof. Paul Müller - linking both towns with his activities. An additional attraction was the dance workshops, integrating classes and sports activities.
June 20th. 150th anniversary of the Fire Brigade in Angermünde.
Our partners in Angermünde were visited by a group of 13 voluntary firemen from the commune of Strzelce Krajeńskie. The jubilee was also an occasion to make plans for arrangements on future co-operation.
June 20th, Dobre bo nasze (It’s good because it ours.) – a visit of representatives of Angermünde.
The project covered the Ceremonial Meeting of Partners, and the Polish - German Friendship Festival, during which there were presentations of local amateur artistic groups and a band of the German Partner called Four Feel Fine. The meeting was attended by a 10 person delegation from Angermünde. The project was implemented by SOK and co-funded by the Pro Europa Viadrina Euroregion.".
July 4th, Regional Food Fair.
The aim of the project was to organize a one-day cooking event, promoting healthy food, prepared from natural plant and animal products, based on traditional recipes of Polish cuisine. An important element of the Regional Food Fair was the participation of the German Partner from Angermünde. The residents of the municipality of Strzelce Krajeńskie had the opportunity to learn about German regional dishes. The meeting was attended by a 10-person delegation from Angermünde. The project was implemented by SOK and co-funded by the Pro Europa Viadrina Euroregion.
Jul3 3rd-5th, The Feast of Ueckermark County in Angermünde.
At the invitation of the mayor, Mr. Wolfgang Krakow this year’s County Feast in Angermünde took place with an active role of our commune’s representatives.
The mayor, Mr. Mateusz Feder and the deputy mayor, Mr. Mateusz Karkoszka being assisted by the authorities of other twin towns symbolically opened the celebration. Our mayors have the opportunity and the opportunity to explore the town as well as to witness the effects of renovations of houses and monuments of Angermünde as they participated in granting the title of Monument of the Month to the newly renovated house called The Headsman House.The next day a group of almost 50 residents of our commune presented their musical skills. The Strzelce Krajeńskie Brass Orchestra took part in a Brass Bands Festival.An import ant event of the feast was the traditional swimming with the deer which was honored by Mr. Karol Chmielewski who started the fun playing a couple of hunting horn signals including luring a deer. Throughout the day, the residents and visitors to Angermünde had the opportunity to receive gadgets and promotional materials at the stand of Strzelecki Warsztat Terapii Zajęciowej (Occupational Therapy Workshop) and at the stand of Mrs. Urszula Szadyko. Handmade ornaments and everyday objects attracted the attention of passers-by.
July 22nd-23rd, Senior Resident Day in Angermünde.
10 senior residents of Strzelce Krajeńskie took part in a meeting with their friends in Angermünde. Together they visited Wartin and Spreewald. They had conversations of future meetings and discussed the needs for rehabilitation equipment for the seniors of Strzelce Krajeńskie.
September 5th, The Communal Harvest Feast
The aim of the project carried out on the basis of the Polish-German cross-border cooperation was to present Polish folk customs to the German partners through a celebrating the tradition of the harvest together and to tie stronger bonds between the partners of both countries. The Polish audience were presented the habits of the German celebration of the completion of the harvest called Erntedankfest. A music group from Angermünde also took part in the meeting. The project was implemented by SOK and co-financed by the Pro Europa Viadrina Euroregion.
September 26th, Away to learn about renewable energy.
A delegation of six from Strzelce Krajeńskie, chaired by the mayor-Mateusz Feder took part in the meeting on the construction and operation of a wind farm. The meeting was held in the German Daucrthal the seat of Enertrag company. Processes of creating the farm, its functioning and impact on the environment were discussed.
October 7th, Senior Residents Clubs’ Tournament.
A group of nine Angermünde senior residents took part in the 9th Senior Residents Clubs’ Tournament together with five other clubs. Sport and recreation are perfect ways for integration and active recreation.
November 7th, Handicrafts Fair in Angermünde.
A group of nine participated in another edition of the Handicraft Workshop of the Disabled in Angermünde. Strzelce was represented by Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy (The Special Educational Center). The event was inspired by the Strzelce Krajeńskie Senior Resident Club.
December 13th-14th, The Town’s Christmas Eve Dinner
It is a tradition that the German senior residents (this year it was a group of eight) celebrate and sing carols in Strzelce Krajeńskie during the Town’s Christmas Eve Dinner. During this year’s stay they also visited Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy (The Special Educational Center). An important element of the visit was the jubilee of 10 years of co-operation.
December 17th, The senior residents of Angermünde help the disabled of the commune of Strzelce Krajeńskie. It is not the first time when the rehabilitation equipment, wheelchairs and walking aids donated by them will become a great help to the ones in need.
May 1st-3rd - Strzelecki Piknik Majowy (The Strzelce May Day Picnic. The events organized by Strzelecki Ośrodek Kultury (The Strzelce Krajeńskie Culture Center) are traditionally attended by groups of our twin town of Angermünde.
May 11th-13th, a group of 16 youngsters of year 5 and 6 with their teachers from Elementary School takes part in a school exchange with their twin school of Angermünde. Educational, musical and leisure activities in National Park promote integration, getting to know one another as well as favor language skills.
June 12th-19th - JARMARK STRZELECKI (The Strzelce Fair)- The jubilee of 730 years of Strzelce Krajeńskie. On this occasion we are hosts to official representations of Tornesch and Jammerbugt. A group of senior residents of Angermünde and the Bund der Vertriebenen (The Association of the Uprooted) also join in the celebrations. Moreover, a group of fishermen from Tornesch gets to know the commune and its fishing facilities, the accordion band of Tornesch put a marvelous concert to the plenty of spectators. Karl-Heinz Klakow, a former resident of Kreis Friedeberg (pre WW2 administrative district). Also, a band called Four Feel Fine of Angermünde gives a concert during this week of culture.
June 21st-22nd - A group of 10 senior residents of the Klub Seniora Pogodny Uśmiech pay a visit to their German partners. During the visit in Angermünde and Schwedt not only do they learn about the history and monuments but also give a concert together with the town's youngest residents.

September 10th - Prenzlau holds another edition of the Arts and Crafts Fairs and Exhibitions which is attended by a group of 10 members of Klub Seniora Pogodny Uśmiech and the participants of the Warsztat Terapii Zajęciowej (Occupational Therapy Workshop). The presented exhibits (made by the disabled) receive a great deal of attention from the visitors. The meeting is also an occasion to plan further mutual events during the year.
October 13th - 10th Senior Resident Club Competition- 14 representatives of senior residents of Angermünde, Schwedt, Wartinn and Prenzlau takes part in the 10th edition of The Senior Resident Club Competition. Working, relaxing and direct contacts are the usual grounds to strengthen the bonds and plan future actions.
December 18th-19th - It is a tradition for the senior residents of Angermünde to participate in the solemn Town's Christmas Eve Dinner in Strzelce Krajeńskie. This year the organizers play hosts to a group of 7 friends from Vdk Sozialverband K.V Uckermark. Our guests pay a visit Przedszkole Samorządowe nr 2 (nursery school) as well as to Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno Wychowawczy (Special School and Education Center) bringing Christmas presents for the children.
1. February 2nd - A group of the members of the Strzelce Senior Resident Club visit Angermünde to collect rehabilitation equipment and beds for the disabled. It is yet another initiative of help coming from the senior residents from Germany.
May 1st - 10 senior residents of Angermünde join the Polish seniors to take part in the May Day Picnic in Strzelce. The guests reveal their skills and traditions during the barbecuing contest. Future plans for co-operation and meetings are made.
May 10th-12th - 18 students of Gustav Bruhn in Angermünde pay a visit to their friends' school in Strzelce Krajeńskie. Common classes, open-air activities and good fun contributed to overcome language and cultural barriers.
May 16th-19th – A group of 10 senior residents of Strzelce meet their friends in Germany to enjoy an arts and crafts exhibition in Berlin.
June 13th – The senior residents of Angermünde organize Senior Resident Day in Kołbasowo and a group of 10 members of the Senior Residents Club from Strzelce Krajeńskie join the fun.
June 24th-25th – a group of seven seniors of Angermünde takes part in the EUROPICNIC- The Strzelce Days. It is yet another meeting of friends and a chance to discuss mutual plans for the forthcoming months.
September 9th-10th – 9 seniors of Angermünde join the celebrations of the Gminne Święto Plonów (Harvest Feast), taking place in Wielisławice. The guests present a harvest wreath and tell about German harvest time traditions and customs.
October 18th-19th - 11th Senior Resident Club Competition takes place in Strzelce. On this occasion a group of 9 representatives of senior residents of V.dk Sozialverband K.V Uckermark, Angermünde come to join in the fun. The event is organized by the Strzelce Senior Resident Club Pogodny Uśmiech.
November 4th - the Arts and Crafts Fairs and Exhibitions in Angermünde is attended by a group of 11 members of Klub Seniora Pogodny Uśmiech and the participants of the Warsztat Terapii Zajęciowej (Occupational Therapy Workshop). The presented exhibits (made by the disabled members of the Workshop) receive a great deal of attention from the visitors.
